Bangkok Haunts

John Burdett has closed up his Bangkok detective trilogy with another look into the Thai mind. Bangkok Haunts delves into the seedy underworld of Thailand with half Farang police inspector Sonchai Jitpleecheep. If you ever wanted to learn how different the western mind is, or how a Buddhist world view can radically alter how you look at everyday things, this trilogy is for you. More amazing is Burdett's ability to have his stories spend so much time with the inner workings of a corrupt police force, the rampant prostitution industry, and the drug trade; but yet never be digusting or go for the cheap thrills.

A great book and a tremendous series. Read them all.
