The previous Erin McCarthy book I read was Sucker Bet, which was book four in the Vegas Vampire series. This time I went to the beginning and read book one, High Stakes. The writing was pretty funny, but unfortunately I am not sure I was laughing for the right reasons. The serieas must get dirtier as it goes along because while it had its moments, it was nothing compared to book four.
