Whats wrong with the old jail?Every year that underpass would flood. Is the road really so busy that stop light would be a problem.
I think it was because of the regular flooding that they removed that dip.They are building a justice center, encompassing more than a jail. And I guess the current jail is also too small.
I like these pictures. Is Austin a small town? If I took pictures of downtown SLC it would look a lot different.
Approximately 23,000 people. Compared to my home town (61,000,000), Austin is dinky.
The old dip/underpass on Oakland. Been filled in and the bridges have been torn down. This view is close to Firestone looking toward East Side lake.
